If an agent chooses to leave CXR Realty, any active pending transactions will be honored in full under the terms of the existing contract. The brokerage will continue to support the transaction through closing to ensure a smooth and professional completion for all parties involved. Once the transaction has successfully closed, the separation process will be finalized in accordance with brokerage policies.
Any bonus or additional compensation in a real estate transaction must be disclosed, negotiated, and documented in writing in accordance with Michigan law and REALTOR® guidelines. If a seller or buyer agrees to provide additional compensation — whether due to achieving a higher sales price or meeting specific performance goals — that compensation becomes part of the overall transaction and is handled through the same written agreements and brokerage structure as the original commission. Because of this, any bonus is treated as commission and is subject to the agent’s selected compensation model. This ensures compliance, transparency, and consistency across all transactions. That said, with CXR Realty’s competitive splits and minimal overhead, the impact to the agent is typically minimal compared to traditional brokerage models.

If an agent is operating under the Family Model (100% Commission) and buys or sells their own property, they are not required to pay a listing commission to the brokerage. However, as with any transaction processed through CXR Realty, the standard broker compliance fee will apply at a 50% discounted rate. This ensures proper oversight, documentation review, and E&O coverage while recognizing that the agent is representing themselves. We support agents who invest and build wealth through real estate, and our structure reflects that. That last line is important. It positions you as pro-investor — which aligns with who you are. If you’d like, we can also add a sentence clarifying how this works for Team Model agents, unless your policy is different for them.
CXR Realty believes performance should be recognized and rewarded. While our incentive structure evolves as the brokerage grows, top-producing agents can expect year-end recognition based on both individual production and overall company performance. As we continue to expand, this may include formal awards, recognition events, performance-based incentives, or additional bonuses tied to measurable results. The scale of these incentives is directly influenced by production levels — both at the agent and brokerage level — ensuring that rewards remain meaningful and performance-driven.
